The songwriting team of Olsson and Tomlinson began in 1991, when co-founding members Jan Olsson and Jim Tomlinson formed the band Steeling Time. The duo released their album Hands of Time accompanied by internationally acclaimed conductor Boris Brott and his 70 piece National Academy Orchestra.
The duo has performed over 1200 live shows throughout Muskoka and Central Ontario, focusing on the major resort markets, special events, pubs and restaurants, weddings, and private and corporate functions. Their unique blend of vocal harmonies have garnered significant attention from their following.
Olsson recently released his first solo EP A Complicated Life. Along with production engineer and songwriter Richard Jackson, Olsson has carefully crafted a unique sound by combining elements of vintage rock and third world percussion. The result is a collection of songs with an unexpected edge and provocative themes. Jim recently completed his first solo recording project, “About Time”. It is a collection of intimate acoustic-based compositions, which include a definitive James Taylor influence.
