Steeling Time 004.jpg

Steeling Time, formed by James Tomlinson and Jan Olsson, is a well-established and versatile musical group based in the Muskoka Region for 34 years. The group performs to a wide variety of audiences at many premier resorts, private and corporate events. Steeling Time’s influences include James Taylor, The Beatles and Blue Rodeo. Their sound is founded on strong vocal harmonies and polished musicianship. The result is an easy listening musical style, which combines many top 40 hits with their own original material from their “Hands of Time” CD, and originals from their independent writing and recording projects.

Over their years of performing there have been many highlights. Here are just a few of Steeling Time’saccomplishments:

 Performing with the 70-piece National Academy Orchestra conducted by Boris Brott.

 Performing Jame Taylor tribute shows

 The release of their all-original CD, “Hands of Time”.

“Steeling Time has put together a (James Taylor) tribute show that includes impeccable musicianship and tasty harmonies, rendering an amazing likeness to the J.T. experience. Jim Tomlinson, who took on the role of J.T., displayed an uncanny knack for creating the distinctive James Taylor sound, both with lead vocals and with his acoustic guitar”.
